The founder, who had stayed on as CIO, has stepped back in as CEO in the interim & that will give its clients confidence.

I am fancying fund managers more and more. Interest rates will stay low or some time to come, so more cash ought to be going into funds of all sorts.

So, Sis, thanks for the lead - I'm in.

ElElhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09610673123416004121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533494677366906459.post-35743335910533109682013-08-22T10:42:23.247+01:002013-08-22T10:42:23.247+01:00Logically you are right - but p/e is usually based...Logically you are right - but p/e is usually based on trailing 12 months - see Bloomberg and Digital Look

http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/CLIG:LN

http://www.digitallook.com/cgi-bin/dlmedia/security.cgi?username=&ac=&csi=178854Sisyphushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11345967558482194349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533494677366906459.post-11382112563429299972013-08-22T09:38:03.017+01:002013-08-22T09:38:03.017+01:00Hi

I usually try to resist taking a profit until it reaches my 5-years-worth of current income.

ABG was a poor performer but I have held on and it is now only 10% down, heading back up - and I will be getting the dividends!Sisyphushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11345967558482194349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533494677366906459.post-91502581516833057082013-08-20T16:41:27.537+01:002013-08-20T16:41:27.537+01:00Well, bearing in mind what happened to ABG, I made...Well, bearing in mind what happened to ABG, I made a little limit order for some of these. And I put the ABG holding (and some Polymetal I was gambling with) on a stop-loss to try to preserve the puny profit my second try at these gave me (the first one lost an indescribable amount until I got cold feet and the second try made 25% in about nine days.) I am not sure my behaviour so far has mimicked that of the ideal Income Investor - much too much emotion and short-term gain chasing. I used to know a stockbroker once (those were the days - now I just know a keyboard and a screen) who said "It's never wrong to take a profit". But was he right? Doubt it.
